Lamentablement, passats uns instants, es va dur el dit a la sien i amb l' ungla es va gratar dues vegades. Va brandar el cap un parell de vegades i va començar a incorporarse agafant-se amb les mans el genoll dret. Fent un petit esforç es va incorporar sense ajudarse ni tan sols amb l' altre genoll. Quan va trepitjar el terra ferm va trontollar lleugerament. David, que ja corria, es va girar i va veure que de molt poc li havia servit aquella pedrada. Per un segon va pensar que ni tan sols amb una catapulta hagués fet un mal irreparable a Goliat. Va interrompre els seus pensaments una foscor infinita i un eixordador soroll provocat per aquella mateixa roca o pedreta (segons qui va descriure els fets) que moments abans ells mateix habia llençat, passat un segon va morir esclafat. ©aTx 2010 (Paris, 2009)
